This role will be responsible for ensuring our operational readiness activities are planned, developed, and executed in accordance with the project and programmed timescales and objectives and there is a smooth transition into live operations. The role will heavily be involved with key individuals internally and externally.
Role Responsibilities
Working within Operational Transition Team the Operational Transition Manager will be responsible for ensuring our operational readiness activities are planned, developed, and executed in accordance with the project and programmed timescales and objectives there is a smooth transition into live operations, managing Operational Readiness Team.
Your responsibilities and activities will be:
* Identify project benefits, deliverables, operational impact, and deadlines through consultation with project manager, sponsors, and stakeholders

* Progress reporting to Project Manager, Operational Transition Leader and senior stakeholders for clarity and endorsement
* Plan and oversee OT activities including training ensuring they are managed within the project budget, and in accordance with timescales and quality criteria
* Prepare end of project closure reports, sign off acceptance of change, benefit realisation and ‘lessons learnt’
* Takes preventative action to mitigate any risks or issues in advance. Does not get caught up in permanent reactive mode
* Create training material and delivers to operational and service teams within Heathrow Airports London, Vanderlande and 3rd Parties
* Support a safe working environment within business development through championing and encouragement of a safety-first culture
Role Qualification and Skills
* Airport baggage processes and operational knowledge is a must
* Desirable technical Background
* Experience working closely with closely with Stakeholders
* Experience handling difficult/stressful situations
* Training delivery – Ability to deliver end user FIT training
