Description The Resource Geology Coordinator is required to provide guidance and technical expertise in developing and implementing of best geology and resource practices across all mining operations of ArcelorMittal, including ensuring that mine geology, resource definition, and QAQC practices follow the correct standards. Support operations in conducting or reviewing geological interpretations and related 3D geological modelling with associated geostatistical grade estimation, classification and reporting of resources. Helping to ensure that the reconciliation of mineral resources and reserves to production data are conducted to the correct standards across the ArcelorMittal groups mining operations. Developing and ensuring deployment of OBK&M (Orebody Knowledge and Management) geology domain standards and guidelines with the aim of standardization of Resources management for the ArcelorMittal mining businesses. Contribute to global exploration strategy so as to develop the groups mineral assets, to extend mine life, and enable generation of the right products to support ArcelorMittal’s business strategy. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB HOLDER Encourages, fosters and leads by example on Health and Safety as Group number 1 priority Contributes to the development and deployment of OBK&M exploration and resource definition, mineral resource estimation, and mine geology control standards across the group Supports governance to standards with respect to effective exploration, resource generation, and Orebody Knowledge programs, to generate resources and reserves available for mining, that will generate the right products aligned to the groups business strategy to maximise shareholder value Undertakes compliance and technical assurance reviews at each site, ensuring that gap analysis and maturity assessments are undertaken, and action plans developed and followed through for each site Supports the line manager in ensuring that the right volumes and quality of mineralisation is being planned and explored across the Group Assists and guide the business units in mine geology procedures, exploration practice, geological mapping procedures, and the interpretation of geological, geochemical, and geophysical data Assist in the governance of exploration, resource development, mineral resource estimation Support to building of effective strategies to achieve growth in value of the mining assets and give guidance to the business units’ exploration and mine geology teams Assist with budgets, selection of companies, labs, and consultants, to create significant value to AM Align minimum and best practice standards across the mining group to ensure a consistency and alignment of geology systems, processes and activities Look to establish a common methodology and QA/QC protocol within the business units Ensure mineral rights information is managed effectively by each business unit Support/Guide the creation of a GIS database at each site and at a group level for mineral exploration Manage, interpret, and review 3D geological and resource models Provide guidance on the implementation of geo-metallurgical models at the business units Assists with capital expenditure submissions as required Support geoscientists across the mining business during mineral resource modelling including support in mining and geology software solutions, including external and in-house trainings Support Mergers and Acquisitions in finding the right strategic projects and resources to drive the business forward Promote a high-performance culture and build open, genuine, and sustainable relationships with all stakeholders EDUCATION Bachelor of Science degree in field of Geology or Geoscience as a minimum, a Masters in Geoscience preferable.
