We are seeking a number of invigilators to expand our exams team. These positions are on a casual, as required basis, throughout the academic year.
Candidates will need to be reliable, punctual and able to keep calm under pressure. Have good numeracy and literacy skills and a flexible and firm but fair approach to their work. Experience of working with young people would be advantageous. Full training will be provided and attendance at training sessions is essential.
Duties include:
- To assist in laying out exam papers on appropriate desks or distributed in a way that each pupil can commence the examination at the exact time stated,
- To undertake a registration of pupils to ensure that those present correspond to the examination entries,
- To collect examination papers and associated paperwork from candidates at the end of the exam,
- To ensure examination papers are passed onto the named examination officer.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- An ability to remain quiet during the whole examination process
- An ability to deal with disruptions with the minimal of disruption to others
- An understanding of the examination process (full training will be given)
