Stakeholder & Public Liaison Officer - required for our client who work within Heavy Civils sector across the UK and are looking for someone in based in Milport this is a 1 day a week untill August 2024. The Stakeholder & Public Liaison Officer will be responsible for providing Stakeholder engagement and liaison with the public on across the companies projects.
The Stakeholder & Public Liaison Officer will be the point of contact for stakeholders wanting to find out more information about their projects, and manage community and schools engagement to ensure the local community is informed and enhance the reputation of the projects, clients and company.
Stakeholder & Public Liaison Officer Position Overview
1. Plan, manage and attend project liaison events for the public, and local community groups.
2. Lead Corporate Social Responsibility activities, including charity and community initiatives.
3. Write content for project newsletters, and website and social media.
4. Work together with the team to identify opportunities for communication and publicity.
5. Coordinate events and publicity to celebrate project achievements.
6. Liaise with project team to keep them up to date with communication activities & issues.
7. Plan workshops and lessons for school parties visiting the site.
8. Respond to queries made by members of the public in writing, or by phone, in an accurate, informative and professional manner.
9. Record communications with stakeholders in the communications log.
10. Take photos to assist project communications and social media posts.
11. Assist with producing documents, and attending workshops to engage stakeholders during the planning application stage for projects.
12. Attend the STEM education team meetings.
13. Produce content for industry press articles promoting our projects.
14. Develop and manage communications plans for our projects.
Stakeholder & Public Liaison Officer Position Requirements
15. Degree or higher level qualification in a relevant subject
16. Public relations or community Stakeholder engagement experience
17. Full driving licence
18. Professional experience communicating with members of the public in-person, on the phone and in writing
19. Experience writing letters and information leaflets providing information to members of the public
20. Experience of working in a community-based and/or public facing role
21. Experience of working in a school, college or with young people
22. Any experience working on infrastructure or civil engineering projects
23. Knowledge of the planning application system and experience attending and/or producing documents to engage stakeholders as part of a planning application
24. CSCS card (desirable)
Stakeholder & Public Liaison Officer Position Remuneration
25. Salary £30,000 - £38,000 per annum to be paid pro rata
