Technical Director of Ecology
Location: Manchester
Work Status: Hybrid Remote - flexible site & office hours weekly - 32 hours p/w
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
Also hiring for Associate Director level: £48,000 - £60,000 depending on experience.

Role Overview – Technical Director
Be one of the Technical Leaders across ecology planning, from inception and bidding stages through to negotiation with consultees and the completion of planning documents.

Required Attributes
* Top academic qualifications in a relevant discipline
* To be a full CIEEM member or working towards Chartership
* Excellent survey skills including extended Phase I/UKHabs, specialised species surveys (holding at least one licence or specialisation) and/or botanical assessments
* A desire to manage large and complex projects and is confident in liaising with clients, statutory bodies and LPAs
* Excellent report writing and reviewing skills
* A developed understanding of legislative and planning policy framework
* To be proactive in your engagement with clients to make sure we’re listening to their needs and addressing their challenges
* To have experience in being accountable for steering larger projects as a Project Director, ensuring their successful completion
* Confidence in liaising with statutory bodies and LPAs
* Enthusiasm for being a team player, always ready to inspire and be inspired
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience of EIA (Environmental Impact Assessments) and HRA (Habitats Regulations Assessment)
* A full UK driving licence
