A rare opportunity has arisen for a Digital Application Support to join our award winning Digital team and support the successful implementation of a range of strategic digital projects across all relevant Business Units/Directorates in Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT).
We are looking for an individual who is passionate, motivated, reliable and has excellent innovation & organisation skills, with previous experience in a similar role.
• Be responsible for ensuring end-users understand how to use the applications/systems and resolve any issues as part of the handover to business as usual on project closure
• Have advanced knowledge in all software supported by this team by enhancing knowledge of the systems from a technical aspect but also the way it is utilised by our organisation
• Provide specialist training to new users in the relevant applications/systems to ensure operational processes run smoothly and enable users to conduct their work.
• Work alongside the Project Managers to maintain apps, software and other organisational systems.
• Implement departmental policies within own working area and propose changes to working practices as a result of new guidelines or legislation.
• Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally. Expected to be the key specialist in software that the team supports

• Provide technical support regarding a spectrum of software.
• Monitor the status of applications and report/ resolve any issues that occur.
• Take initiative and support continuous improvement of customers experience by proactively identifying case trends, researching potential challenges, and creating solutions.
• Manage application configuration and upgrades, and problem analysis and resolution for complex application problems, in conjunction with the users and external application or service suppliers where necessary.
• Define, develop, and provide an application problem analysis and resolution service for complex application problems in conjunction with the users and application suppliers.
• Manage application projects and assist users to run their application projects, providing technical and project management input where required.
• Improve application functionality and performance and provide suggestions for system and business improvements.
• Analyse user processes and produce data and process flow diagrams as well as;
• reports and recommendations for improvements.
• Be able to grasp technical concepts and new product functionality quickly
• Be responsible for planning, organising, and managing their own workload effectively to maintain an efficient service, adhering to timescales in an environment where priorities are frequently changing.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective systems and processes to ensure effective administrative support, making maximum use of technology.
• Manage, co-ordinate and implement initiatives and events as required, ensuring all necessary elements are covered and deadlines achieved.
• Prioritise workload and tasks, plan own timetable working within the constraints of deadlines.
• Engage with staff at all levels, responding to queries relating to digital project matters.
• Be a good communicator – confident, clear, and warm with a flexible and constructive approach to staff and the team alike.
• Take the lead on creating, updating, and uploading new and updated documents onto the internal intranet/external internet.
• Support the team in progressing the Digital strategy.
• Actively participate in meetings.
