Orka Financial is currently partnering with a small, successful growing business based in Henley that is looking to recruit an Accountant to join the team. This is a great opportunity where you will have exposure to so many areas of the business and play an integral part during an exciting time of growth. This role reports into the CFO and will oversee an Accounts Assistant.Duties will include,Preparation of the monthly management accountsMonthly balance sheet reconciliationsManage intercompany balancesHave primary responsibility for all company bankingSupport in the development and production of forecasts, budgets, and financial plansPreparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documentsAnalytical review of the company’s financial performance based on financial recordsIdentifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company managementPreparation of year end schedulesPreparation of statistical returnsPrepare journals to ensure costs are recognised in the correct accounting periodResponsible for Fixed Asset register and DepreciationMaintaining financial controls and processesEvaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where neededThis is a broad, varied role that someone can really make their own. It requires someone with a solid background in management/financial accounts and can work unsupervised and use their own initiative. Strong communication skills with the ability to talk 'finance' to non-finance. Any experience with Xero accounting package is desirable.The role is office based, based in Henley with parking. The role is paying up to £50000 dependent upon experience.
