About the Role
We are looking for a Customer Service Manager with a strong engineering background and proven experience as a Service or Operations Manager in the Tool, Plant & Equipment Hire industry. You’ll lead a team of engineers, drivers, and depot operatives, ensuring high standards of service, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Manage and lead the depot team, driving exceptional customer service
✔️ Oversee daily operations, ensuring equipment is maintained and delivered on time
✔️ Implement and uphold high performance, safety, and compliance standards
✔️ Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
✔️ Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, processes, and service delivery
Essential Experience & Skills:
🔹 Proven experience as a Service or Operations Manager in the hire industry
🔹 Engineering background – strong technical understanding of plant, tool, or equipment hire
🔹 Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams
🔹 Customer-focused with a results-driven mindset
🔹 Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities
🔹 Knowledge of industry regulations and health & safety standards
