Job Description
Aureos is seeking an Estimator to undertake Pre-Construction estimating and commercial activities. The role encompasses leadership, management, and input towards the production of project ITT pricing and submission documents within the GSP Framework.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all pricing requirements are met and submitted in line with contract specifications, collaborating closely with Employers' teams from progressing submission of ITT and post-submission activities including draft contract documentation agreement.
* Liaise with delivery teams during pre-construction phases (Stage A and Stage B) and provide input to overall programme portfolio revenue forecasting.
Estimator Tasks
1. Review project documents to identify essential details for a comprehensive report.
2. Collaborate with contractors to complete pricing preliminaries.
3. Prepare a project risk register outlining potential risks and opportunities.
4. Conduct site visits and compile reports as necessary.
5. Develop a pricing submission document and associated documentation.
6. Extract dimension drawings as required.
7. Negotiate post-tender financial aspects.
8. Evaluate and manage risk and opportunity throughout the pricing process.
9. Collect, review, and submit tender documents in a timely manner, ensuring accurate compliance with financial information and design proposals.
10. Provide Project Kick-Off documentation for commercial handover meetings.
11. Authorise 'sign off' of cost elements before gate meetings or financial submissions.
12. Maintain cost information production for senior management.
13. Respond thoughtfully to customer inquiries, including post-tender queries.
14. Ensure effective handover of bid documentation to the project commercial team.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experienced in construction, preferably working for a contractor, with a range of project experience encompassing new builds, refurbishments, civils, and utilities.
* Degree-level qualified; ideally BSc in a relevant field or qualified by experience.
* Able to collaborate with design teams to assess risk effectively.
* Proficient in using spreadsheets and other commercial software packages.
