Description: Join us as a Payroll Supervisor and play a crucial role in our payroll team. In this role, you'll oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every stage. As a Payroll Supervisor, you'll be responsible for maintaining high departmental standards, producing high-quality client files, and managing junior team members. This position requires a quality-focused individual who is organized and deadline-driven.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide an excellent level of service to a small portfolio of Clients which meets and exceeds their expectations.
2. Manage an allocated Client portfolio to ensure compliance and service standards are achieved.
3. Support the Director in completing day-to-day activities within set timeframes.
4. Ensure planning processes meet client needs and statutory deadlines.
5. Review team files to ensure quality and compliance requirements are met.
6. Provide feedback on junior team members' work and identify areas for development.
7. Manage the entire payroll process, including RTI filing, pension uploads, and generating reports.
8. Maintain meticulous records and a robust document control system.
9. Stay up to date with company policies and tax legislation impacting payroll.
10. Prepare month-end journals and reports for posting and audit purposes.
11. Prepare and submit CIS submissions.
12. Train and oversee junior members of the payroll team.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience in client-facing payroll, preferably within a practice environment.
2. Hold CIPP qualification.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
4. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently.
Additional Requirements:
1. Knowledge of HMRC legislation and Pension Auto Enrolment.
2. Strong computer literacy and numerical skills, with experience using payroll systems.
