Applications are invited for these 10-session posts based at Auchinlea Resource Centre and the Mental Health Campus of Stobhill Hospital in the north east of Glasgow. There is a well-developed multi-disciplinary team, including Nursing, Psychology, Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Prescribing Pharmacist, as well as good administrative support. You would be working alongside other Consultant Psychiatrists, with trainee support. There is close contact with the other Psychiatric Consultants in the North East Division. You would be involved in assessment and management of patients with mental disorder within the Auchinlea catchment area as well as providing, consultation and training and would play a key role in service development and evaluation. We are particularly looking for enthusiastic team players with an interest in quality improvement clinical governance and leadership. The posts would ideally be split between in-patient and community work, but this is flexible and could potentially be solely community or in-patient. The post-holder will have, or will achieve, Approved Medical Practitioner status in accordance with the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003. Candidates must have full GMC Registration and a license to practice. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of Higher Specialist Training leading to a CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry at the date of interview.
