Main duties of the job:
Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented professional looking for a new challenge? We're seeking a skilled Service Manager to join our team in the Borough of Bury, responsible for the day-to-day management of our Wound Care & Lymphoedema Service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prioritise and Plan: Efficiently manage your workload, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and objectives.
2. Process Development: Create and refine standard processes within the service to ensure consistency and excellence.
3. Staff Support: Ensure staff are aware of and adhere to agreed processes, promoting a culture of best practice.
4. Objectives Alignment: Collaborate with management to set objectives that align with Community Services' corporate goals.
5. Data Management: Accurately input and maintain up-to-date records on the Paris system, ensuring data quality and integrity.
6. Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with external agencies, such as Local Authorities, Home Office, GPs, and CCGs.
7. Confidentiality & Enquiries: Respond to sensitive and confidential enquiries from various organisations and individuals in a professional manner.
8. Meetings & Events: Arrange and coordinate training sessions and other events as required.
9. Specialist Support: Provide expert support for the tissue viability element of the service, utilising your expertise to drive excellence.

Qualifications:
Essential:
* Registered Nurse/Adult Branch Current NMC registration.
* Specialist Practitioner in District Nursing (or currently training), or a competency-based community development programme at degree level.
* Non Medical Prescribing qualification (V150) or V300 Non Medical Prescribing qualification.
* Mentorship qualification.
Desirable:
* Tissue viability course.
Experience:
Essential:
* Experience of Case/Care management within a Community Nursing Team.
* Experience in managing a team.
* Audit & Research experience.
* Experience of participation in service improvement activities and managing change.
