We are looking for someone to join our busy Service Desk team who supports the Council’s evolving digital workforce.
This role will primarily be first line support but the management of our hardware and software assets are also a key element of this role. Keeping records up to date, organising the physical location of stock and assigned assets, managing deliveries of ICT hardware, providing mobile device support are just a sample of the different elements that the team get involved in.
The role will be varied and will underpin the exciting work currently going on in ICT to support the Council’s adapting workforce. Willingness to learn and improve is essential. Due to the front-line nature of the role, preference will be given to candidates with at least a years’ practical experience in ICT systems, covering either service desk, applications, or infrastructure. Flexibility, determination, and enthusiasm along with a strong customer service ethos and attention to detail when record keeping, are also essential.
The postholder will also get involved with starter and leaver processes, setting up accounts and ensuring new staff have good ICT on-boarding experience.
