We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Support Assistant to join our team, working afternoons only, from January 2025. Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted emotional and social support to pupils, fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere.
* Establish strong, trusting relationships with children to help them feel valued and confident.
* Work with pupils to address behavioral, emotional, and social challenges, promoting positive engagement with school life.
* Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop tailored strategies for pupil support.
* Maintain accurate records of interventions and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
* Relevant experience working with children, ideally in a pastoral or support role within an educational setting.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with pupils, staff, and families.
* A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to supporting the holistic development of each child.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance a varied workload.
* A thorough understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
