We have an exciting opportunity available for an individual who is looking to join our location team as a General Hospitality Assistant, providing our bustling Retreat with crucial weekend support. Covering Saturdays and Sundays, you will work 14 hours per week and in return we will offer you an hourly pay rate of £11.44 per hour (increasing to £12 per hour if monthly targets are met), a place to develop your skills and the chance to work in some of the UK’s most stunning forest environments. As our General Hospitality Assistant, we can offer you: Monthly 5% bonus (paid quarterly) if location achieves customer service targets Pre-book a break with up to 20% off or travel last minute for just £75 a cabin. The General Hospitality Assistant Role: Working within this varied role, we are looking for passionate, sociable and capable candidates open to gaining experience across all of our Retreat departments including facilities, reception, café / kitchen and housekeeping. Full training will be given to ensure you get the most out of your time with us, as you gain valuable experience across multiple divisions of hospitality, with training certificates to back it up. The Forest Retreat also has a shop which involves retail duties, and a small bar and café / restaurant where you will be required to do some catering and table waiting. Experience of working in a fast paced F&B or retail environment is desired however customer service skills are vital in providing exemplary service to our guests throughout their stay, making sure each guest experiences that Forest Feeling from the moment they check-in. Our ideal candidate will be articulate and approachable, always put our guests at the heart of everything they do and have a helpful, positive personality. We are seeking those passionate about all the little details that make a holiday great is what makes our guests return time and time again. Responsibilities include some or all of the following: Serving guests at our Retreat cafe and restaurant, including running food and drinks and taking orders Dealing with queries from guests when checking in and checking out Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher Pot wash and table cleaning in the café Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment like cookers, pots and food mixers Stock replenishment in the shop Providing general help to the Retreat and Kitchen teams as and when required Note: 16 – 17 year olds paid at £6.40 p/hr (increasing to £6.72 p/hr if targets met) 17 – 18 year olds paid at £8.60 p\hr (increasing to £9.03 p/hr if targets met) Forest Holidays is a Certified B Corporation, recognised globally as a business that’s a force for good.
