JOB SUMMARY
The Rudding Park team's core purpose is to create timeless memories and instinctive care in exceptional spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
* Welcome guests to the hotel and carry their luggage.
* Manage guest expectations and go the extra mile at all times.
* Provide support for all busy peak time.
* Champion Guest Gossip and ensure that all bits of information regarding a guest is placed on their profile.
* Arrange taxi, give directions, take messages.
* Ensure that all public areas are of the standard expected undertaking any housekeeping duties as required.
* Delivery newspapers to the lodges, hotel bedrooms.
* Escort lodge arrivals to the lodge and explain facilities.
* Show our guests to their bedrooms and explain points of interest and bedroom facilities.
* Be responsible for knowing what is going on the business day ensuring that you are aware of what guests are coming in, what events are taking place at Rudding Park.
* Ensure that guest requests are carried out at all times in a timely manner.
* On arrival on your shift, read the function sheets, fact sheet, memo file.
About You:
* Someone with a passion for people who has the ability to champion exceptional service.
* Awareness and sensitivity to different cultures and languages of our guests.
* Personal resilience, in terms of stamina and ability to handle occasional challenging situations with calmness and diplomacy.
* Composure, good judgement and a welcoming smile.
* A minimum of 1 year's previous experience in a hospitality hosting position or a porter role who enjoys being people focused is preferred.
* Previous guest relations or customer service experience is preferred.
* Highly experienced in providing exceptional customer service, and will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the local area.
* Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
* You must be fully conversant in English.
* It is essential that you have a clean full UK driving licence, as part of the role will include parking guest vehicles, chauffeuring guests to other areas within the hotel grounds, and the local area.
GENERAL
* Be responsible for Health and Safety as an individual and also to work colleagues, customers and the business, reporting concerns through the Health and Safety processes and procedures.
* Ensure continuous professional development of self, including attending required training courses and seeking means of developing within the business.
* Promote continuous improvement in the level of quality and customer care provided by the business and make proposals/suggestions where applicable.
* Respect colleagues and the working environment at all times.
* Ensure high standard of dress and self-presentation within the working environment.
* Undertake any other duties commensurate within the position for which you are qualified.
