As part of our ongoing expansion and commitment to excellence, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Manager to join our team at our state-of-the-art bus depot. Role Overview: As the Engineering Manager, you will oversee the operations, maintenance, and technical support of our fleet of buses. You will lead a dedicated team of engineers, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and performance across all aspects of our operations. Your leadership will be key to driving continuous improvement, optimizing fleet reliability, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and develop a team of engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department, ensuring effective maintenance, servicing, and repair of the bus fleet. Ensure compliance with all health and safety, environmental, and quality standards. Manage the budget for the engineering department, ensuring cost-effective practices while maintaining high operational standards. Work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive efficiency, safety, and innovation. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and contractors. Lead troubleshooting and diagnostics efforts for any mechanical or technical issues with the fleet. Maintain accurate records for all maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Key Requirements: Proven experience in a senior engineering or managerial role within the transport or similar heavy industry sectors. Strong technical knowledge of bus/vehicle maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and systems diagnostics. Demonstrable leadership skills with experience in managing and developing engineering teams. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing operational challenges. Strong understanding of safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental requirements. Experience in budget management and cost control.
