Our Opportunity:
You will work within the Through-life Support Engineering (TSE) team and undertake training related activities to customers’ requirements within your competence in a professional manner, in accordance with relevant specifications, standards, and documentation processes.
Day to day you will:
* Develop reusable training materials, solutions, and programmes that meet both the Customer and Thales business requirements.
* Provide field support and training plans and reports.
* Fulfil the operating, maintenance, and support requirements agreed with the customer.
* Liaise with engineering personnel and research new and amended textual data for a wide range of equipment and maintenance activities.
* Input to and complete Work Package and Project estimates.
* Compile data to various specifications and produce physical/electronic deliverables.
* Provide help and direction to less experienced team members.
* Manage own elements of Training Authoring and Delivery work package.
* Take responsibility for contributing to team planning, risk management, quality, and HSE.
* Seek & share good practice & knowledge to continuously improve own practices.
* Support to Customer Firing Camps.
About you:
Essential Skills:
* In-depth knowledge of Thales IAS (Belfast) products.
* Strong proficiency in standard Microsoft Office packages/Authoring tools.
* Excellent standard of written and spoken English.
* Engineering knowledge/experience.
* Ability to turn technical information into easily understood text.
* Good communicator and presenter.
* A good degree of organisational ability.
Desirable:
* Experience in the design, delivery, evaluation, and management of training in compliance with Joint Service Publication (JSP) 822.
Essential Experience:
* Experience in the development of training needs to recognised military standards.
* Technical experience with direct interface with customers.
* Creation and maintenance of online learning content.
* Assessing the outcomes of learning and learner achievement.
