Manufacturing Engineering – Aerospace Procurement

An exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team in Derby as part of our Aerospace Procurement Business at Rolls Royce.

What you will be doing

In this exciting role, you will be:

* Industrialisation: Managing industrialisation plans and cross-category oversight in accordance with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
* Collaboration: Proactively accessing internal and external technical communities and functional teams to ensure fulfilment and realisation of industrialisation and cost programmes.
* Product Cost: Supporting and driving technical product cost reduction activities to ensure Category and Aerospace Procurement aligned targets are met.
* Technology: Providing support to ensure the success of existing and future technology programs within Procurement.
* Technical: Ensuring technical barriers to industrialisation are identified and communicated.
* Strategy: Supporting and developing opportunities to deliver key business targets.


Who we’re looking for:

* An engineering or relevant discipline degree/HND/HNC and previous experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
* Supply chain experience is preferable with experience in industrialisation and cost reduction programmes.
* Strong analytical skills and a proven record of using tools associated with industrialisation and cost reduction.
* Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills.
* Enthusiastic with a flexible attitude to work and a keen interest in learning.
* Good team working skills and ability to influence.
