Bovey ward is looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Nurse who is looking for the next stage in their career development. This 12 months secondment will involve working at band six level and will give the successful individual experience working in a forward thinking and motivated leadership team.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
The post holder will have a chance to manage, develop and motivate their own team under the guidance of the current Clinical Nurse Manager. Daily clinical roles would include ward co-ordination, teaching/supporting team members, attending ward multi-disciplinary team meetings, delivering and monitoring high standard of care for our specialties. Supporting the Clinical Nurse Manager with management tasks such as sickness/capability monitoring, appraisals, training/competencies, recruitment and rostering.
Experience in Health Care for Older people and Leadership skills are vital for this post and the candidate will be expected to lead the team to deliver the highest quality of patient care on a daily basis. The post holder will adopt a highly visible and accessible approach for patients, their relatives/carers and staff. It will mean that s/he leads by example and empowers staff in their personal and professional development to undertake a greater range of clinical skills to maintain and continuously improve the excellent standards of patient care.
Working Pattern: Days, nights, and cover weekends once a month.
