We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Buyer / Procurement Officer / Sourcing Specialist who has proven experience sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, works to a high level of accuracy with great analytical and cost saving skills.
Working as the Buyer / Procurement Officer / Sourcing Specialist, you will join the Procurement Team and play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods to meet the demands of the business.
As the Buyer / Procurement Officer / Sourcing Specialist, you will have a strong understanding of procurement principles and best practices. You will also have strong negotiation skills.
DUTIES
1. Source and select suppliers, ensuring optimal quality, delivery times, and cost-effectiveness.
2. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve favourable terms.
3. Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including purchase order creation and expediting.
4. Monitor supplier performance, identifying and resolving any issues.
5. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenditure.
6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1. Strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
2. Proven experience in sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
6. A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
