A ‘rewarding role’; working with and supporting young people as they progress on their journey through YMCA. Job Role Relief Accommodation Project Workers assist in the running of the residential areas of the project. Ensuring a high level of working practice and maintaining high standards of supervision and support, to create a warm caring and homely atmosphere. Various shifts are available, on and an as and when required basis. Many of our relief workers progress in their careers, applying for Full and Part Time contracted roles when opportunities arise. Skills and Experience In summary, successful applicants will have the following qualities: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to show empathy. Be a team player who works well under pressure. Flexible around working hours. Good admin and communication skills to maintain excellent client records & an ability to liaise with external agencies. An understanding of current mental health issues Able to manage challenging behaviour.
