Harrison Spinks is a fifth-generation family bedmaker, handcrafting premium luxury mattresses since 1840 and is one of Great Britain most established, innovative and sustainable bed manufacturers. All beds are handmade to order and tailored to each individual customer. Our skilled craftsman and women use traditional bed making techniques to hand sew, side-stitch and tuft every mattress, resulting in beautiful beds that are of the highest quality. We are seeking a Process Operative to work within the Headboards Department, Leeds. The successful candidate will prepare the necessary headboard frames for the next stage of production and complete basic upholstery tasks. Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6am 4pm Key Responsibilities: Use issued daily production tickets to assemble the correct required work. Monitor raw materials and request as required from the department team leader. Monitor quality of products; ensure all quality procedures are adhered to, feed back to the lead operative. Working with Team Leader ensure the work is produced to the correct priority and on time. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Reporting any issues to the team leader. Monitor and record scarp/yield. Meet required output demands. Any other duties deemed necessary. Key Skills & Experience: Excellent communication skills. Self-motivated. Ability to self-manage your time during the working day. Ability to multi-task, work to deadlines and prioritise workload to meet production demands. Willingness to learn. Attention to detail and the ability to think clearly / work under pressure. Displays integrity. Enthusiastic and flexible approach to react on a day-to-day basis to all requests, both internal and external. Team player, supportive of fellow operatives. The ability to stand, walk and move for up to 10 hours per day.
