Purpose of the Maintenance Technician
Multi skilled Electro/Mechanical Engineer with Electrical bias, working as part of a small team performing reactive and proactive maintenance on factory machinery and infrastructure. The Technician will have to react to breakdowns, diagnose faults and minimise down time. You will undertake routine electrical inspections and complete repairs as required. Install new equipment and work on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment. Ensure work is completed in line with recognised codes and practices and promote safe working practices. Suggest ongoing improvements to help the business continue to perform for customers.
Specific Tasks for the Maintenance Technician
* Carry out reactive and proactive maintenance on factory machinery and infrastructure ensuring minimum disruption to Production schedules.
* Work in accordance with recognised codes and practices and promote safe working practices.
* Responding to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults, performing preventative and planned maintenance activities.
* Undertake routine electrical inspections and complete repairs as required using both mechanical and electrical skills.
* Install new equipment and work on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment.
* Search for, select and order alternative equipment to ensure rapid repair of production machinery and plant.
