Accounts Assistant Annual Salary: £28,000 - £32,000pa Location: Tonbridge Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Arrangements: Office Based We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to support a Finance Manager by performing accountancy duties, including processing and recording transactions, preparing reports, and preparing accounts to trial balance. This role is office-based and offers a structured environment for professional growth. Day-to-day of the role: Posting daily transactions from bank statements. Conducting weekly bank reconciliations and supplier payments. Managing sales and purchase ledger reconciliations. Generating weekly Sales & Orders reports. Posting purchase ledger invoices and producing monthly journals. Producing accounts to trial balance. Performing general office duties. Providing cover and assistance for the Finance & HR Director, including production of Management Accounts, monthly payroll, VAT returns, and maintaining holiday & sickness records. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience in an Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant role. Part-qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA/AAT preferred. Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload. Excellent communication skills and a strong team player. Conscientious with the ability to prioritise effectively.
