Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work with the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) Brecon for the planning and delivery of physiotherapy, including the care of musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries. To select, assess, diagnose, and manage patients referred to the Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility (PCRF) and organise onwards referral as appropriate. Acting as a source of advanced clinical expertise in the management of MSK dysfunction and provide an advisory service to patients, other senior physiotherapists, Healthcare Professionals and General Practitioners (GPs) within the practice and WW region.
Job responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Undertaking the role of Advanced Physiotherapist as the Clinical Governance Lead within PCRF.
* Acting as the Clinical Lead with a special interest in MSK management.
* Working with the SMO in the planning and delivery of physiotherapy, including the care of MSK injuries.
* Providing an advisory service to patients, other Physiotherapists, Healthcare Professionals and GPs within the practice and regionally within Wales & West (WW).

Person Specification

Qualifications
* Degree in Physiotherapy plus additional specialist training or experience to master's level or equivalent.
Registrations and Memberships
* Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP).
* State Registered Physiotherapist (HCPC).
Experience
* Knowledge, training, and experience to Masters level in MSK discipline or equivalent.
* Proven experience in the assessment and treatment of MSK disorders, sports injuries, and orthopaedic conditions.
* Proven experience in the application of mobilisation and manipulation techniques.
£46,148 to £52,809 a year per annum, pro-rata for part time.
