Purpose of the Job:
The Public Health Intelligence Analyst will play a crucial role in contributing to the health intelligence function within Bexley Council's specialist public health service. This function is essential for effective public health management. The postholder will support the development of public health and population health management approaches within the emerging integrated care system. Working in partnership with council and NHS intelligence functions, the analyst will provide timely analysis, evaluation, and intelligence to support collective planning and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Health Intelligence Support: Contribute to the health intelligence function by providing accurate and timely analysis to support public health initiatives.
Data Analysis: Conduct detailed data analysis to inform public health strategies and interventions, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
Evaluation and Reporting: Evaluate public health data and create comprehensive reports to inform decision-making processes within the council and the NHS.
Integrated Care System Support: Work collaboratively with the integrated care system partners to support the development and implementation of population health management approaches.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with various stakeholders, including council departments and NHS functions, to align public health intelligence efforts and share best practices.
Timely Intelligence Provision: Ensure the provision of timely and actionable health intelligence to support collective planning and delivery of public health services.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in public health intelligence or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Proficiency in statistical analysis software and tools.
Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
Knowledge of public health policies and integrated care systems is desirable.
