Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Foundation Trust breast services have an exciting opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary team due to a retirement.
Our team is looking for an experienced Breast Care Nurse to work within the screening and symptomatic service. Currently working as a Band 6 or above, with surgical and oncology experience.
We are looking for an individual with a keen interest in Family History and has the relevant experience or willingness to work towards gaining this knowledge.
We are a friendly, forward-thinking team, working together using a multi-disciplinary approach to achieve the best outcome for our patients.
1. Provides a specialist, continuing, supportive Breast Care Service within the hospital and community setting, offering optimum healthcare to patients, their families, and carers.
2. Manages and organizes own caseload.
3. Works within the breast screening setting and family history service.
4. Arm lymphoedema assessment.
5. Provides specialist breast care education, training, and imparts sensitive information for patients, their carers, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring that patient confidentiality is maintained.
