Job Overview: Teach Match is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher with strong behaviour management skills to join a primary school in Greater Manchester. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment. This role requires a teacher who can effectively manage a diverse classroom, ensuring all students remain engaged and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum, ensuring lessons are engaging, differentiated, and accessible to all students. Utilise strong behaviour management techniques to create a positive, calm, and productive learning environment. Maintain a focus on individual student needs, providing additional support to students with behavioural or learning challenges. Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and school leaders. Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCO, and other staff members to support students' diverse needs and ensure they can access the curriculum effectively. Develop and implement personalised behaviour plans, using proactive strategies to support students in achieving positive behaviour. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment, fostering mutual respect, self-discipline, and emotional resilience. Promote the social and emotional development of students through positive reinforcement, restorative approaches, and conflict resolution techniques. Engage with parents and carers, providing updates on student progress and offering support where necessary to ensure consistent behaviour management both in school and at home. Take part in staff meetings, training, and professional development, keeping up-to-date with the latest educational practices and behaviour management strategies. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Key Stage 1 children, with a proven track record of success. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to maintain control of a classroom in challenging situations. Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and a commitment to delivering engaging, inclusive lessons. Ability to work collaboratively with teaching assistants, school leadership, and parents to support student development. A positive, patient, and proactive approach to teaching, with a passion for making a difference. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one). First Aid certification is advantageous but not essential. Desirable Skills: Experience in implementing restorative approaches and positive behaviour management techniques. Training in special educational needs (SEND) or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) would be beneficial.
