East and North Hertfordshire NHSTrust are looking for a Technician to join their small, friendly Radiopharmacyteam within the Nuclear Medicine Department at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre whichis located on the Mount Vernon Hospital site. The licenced radiopharmacy (MHRAManufacturers Specials Licence) manufactures radiopharmaceuticals for theCancer Centre and for seven other hospitals in North West London, Hertfordshireand Buckinghamshire. You will be involved in all aspects of the radiopharmacyservice and must be flexible and adaptable as manufacture begins at 05:00amwith team members working early shifts on a rota system.

You should already have training and experiencein pharmaceutical aseptic manufacture or radiopharmacy obtained either within ahospital or commercial setting. Furthertraining in radiopharmaceutical practice will be provided.
There are strict requirements in relation todress and hygiene whilst working in the radiopharmacy and you must be willingto adhere to these.
You will carry out the technical duties requiredfor the provision of radiopharmaceuticals to the Trust and its customers,including the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals, radiopharmacy environmentalmonitoring and radiopharmaceutical quality control.

Qualifications
Essential
3. BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or Diploma in nuclear medicine or BSc in pharmaceutical science, life or physical sciences.
4. Eligible for registration with General Pharmaceutical Council or other professional organisation such as Register of Clinical Technologists (RCT).
5. Must be able to arrive on-site by 5am without reliance on public transport
