Overview
Mission Aviation Fellowship UK (MAF) is a Christian organisation that, for over 75 years, have been flying light aircraft over remote locations around the world. Our efforts have enabled more than 2,000 aid, development and mission organisations to provide emergency relief, long-term development and Christian hope to remote communities.
This is an Overseas based role for UK Citizens. We currently have vacancies in Papua New Guinea (2), Uganda, Arnhem Land and Mareeba (Australia).
Our aircraft land on some of the most challenging terrain, and as you can imagine safety is key so the skill that an Engineer brings to our aircraft is vital. We operate mainly single engine turbine and single engine piston aircraft.
If you are interested in combining your engineering skills with the opportunity to serve in mission in one of our many locations, this could be the role for you. We are always looking for Mechanical and Avionics Engineer's who are open to serving in one of our many locations.

You will also actively participate in the Quality and Safety Management Systems by seeking opportunities for continual improvement, cooperate with quality and safety audits, use safe working practices and through contributing to a positive safety culture and conducting all work to standard.
It is also expected that you will support the effective performance, development and training of the aviation maintenance team by working with trainees, AME's and other maintenance staff to facilitate their performance through appropriate monitoring and support, with clear feedback and ensure the work of any AME or trade assistant under their oversight meets the standards.
You will also maintain and improve personal professional standards by participating in and ensuring timely completion of CPD modules, participate in MAF organised training events and review internally and externally published aviation safety and training material.
By participating in MAF wider activates, you will support the Aviation department by promoting a shared culture, lead/participate in and work with projects teams, and establish and maintain a close working relationship with all members of the engineering team, locally and regionally.
