We are currently looking for an HGV Class 2 Driver for our client in Leicester. As a HGV Driver, you will provide important support to the business ensuring the safe delivery of chemicals to their customers.

You will report directly to the Transport Manager and will be responsible for driving large goods vehicles, logging delivery information correctly and being vigilant of correct delivery times. You will have the appropriate licence and have a strong awareness of the UK highway code.
To succeed in this role as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you should have thorough knowledge of chemical distribution, hazardous awareness, and safety requirements. Ultimately, you will ensure that all shipments are delivered safely on time and in a professional manor with customer service at the forefront of everything they do.
What you’ll be doing…
9. Ensure company compliance of operating license.
10. Ensure compliance of personal records – safety record, driving hours, breaks, legal compliance.
11. Keep organised paperwork and records throughout day.
12. Load management – product checks, segregation, load security.
13. Completing all required and reoccurring training sessions as instructed.
14. Conduct regular safety audits on equipment in conjunction with Senior Driver and Site Supervisor.
15. Ensure Compliance to the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance across the site manufacturing areas. This will include procedures consistent with regulations and company policy.

About You...
16. Ok with early starts between 5.30am and 7.30am
17. Proven work experience as an HGV Driver.
18. HGV Class 2 Driver qualification.
19. Chemical/ADR driver experience/license, ADR qualification.
20. Current CPC Driver card.
21. Understand and support the importance of customer excellence.
22. Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
