Help Shape the Future of the Brickwork Industry
Are you a skilled bricklayer with a passion for mentoring the next generation? Do you want to take your career in a new direction, using your expertise to develop future tradespeople? We’re looking for a Skills Coach in Brickwork to inspire, support, and guide apprentices as they build solid careers—one brick at a time.
Why This Role?
As a Skills Coach, you won’t just be teaching – you’ll be mentoring and coaching apprentices to develop the technical skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in the brickwork trade. Working across sites, classrooms, and remotely, you'll play a vital role in preparing learners for a successful career in construction.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Mentoring & Coaching: Supporting apprentices throughout their journey, ensuring they gain the hands-on experience and technical knowledge to excel in brickwork.
Assessing Progress: Tracking learner development through our e-portfolio system, preparing them for End Point Assessments and career success.
Embedding Core Skills: Ensuring learners gain essential skills in maths and English alongside their trade qualifications.
Employer Engagement: Building strong relationships with businesses, ensuring apprentices get the best possible training experience.
Shaping the Future Workforce: Collaborating with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality training that meets industry needs.
What’s in It for You?
Career Growth: We support your professional development, including training for teaching or assessing qualifications if you don’t already have them.
Flexible Work: A mix of on-site and remote coaching, offering variety in your daily routine.
Great Benefits: A strong pension scheme, generous annual leave, and the chance to pass on your expertise without the strain of physical site work.
What We’re Looking For:
A Level 3 qualification (or higher) in brickwork or a related field.
An assessor qualification (or a willingness to work towards one – we’ll support you!).
Industry experience in brickwork, with a strong desire to share your knowledge.
Confident IT skills and the ability to manage online learning tools.
Excellent communication skills and the flexibility to travel when needed.
If you’re ready to step off the tools and into a rewarding role where you can inspire the next generation of bricklayers, we’d love to hear from you
