My local government client is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join their organisation as a Principal Internal Auditor to work within their established audit function.
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, the position will lead a number of risk-based audit reviews across the business, so experience within an internal audit position is a must, preferably across public sector or local government. As a Principal Auditor, you will manage the entire relationship with one of their clients; this will involve Audit Committee attendance.
The ideal candidate will come from either local government or a Top 10 consultancy where your client base is public sector. You must hold a full IIA or ACCA/ACA/CIPFA qualification, alongside upwards of 4 years of internal audit experience.
On offer is an attractive salary and excellent career progression, which could allow a leadership role within 2-4 years.
This role can be performed predominantly remotely, however, it would suit someone located West of London, in the South West, or even West Midlands due to the need to attend Audit Committees on a monthly basis.
