Warburtons is looking for a dedicated Driver Operations Team Manager to join our Wednesbury site. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of Class 2 and Class 1 drivers, ensuring customer requirements are met in full and on time, while maintaining strict transport compliance. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside fellow Team Managers and report to the Transport Manager. You will manage and develop your team, making sure they are motivated and engaged, and that performance levels are consistently high. Essential Ingredients Previous experience as a Team Manager with experience in managing teams, coaching, and mentoring (including conducting 1-2-1s) Monitoring and investigating team KPIs, with a focus on leading teams through continuous improvement and training In-depth knowledge of Tachograph and WTD regulations Proficiency in SAP, specifically the ERP module Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environment, and Food Safety Legislation/BRC standards Experience with Driver telematics systems The Recipe Manage a team of Primary and Secondary Drivers, taking responsibility for all people management activities throughout the employee lifecycle to drive improved performance and build a positive, motivated team where everyone is engaged. We currently have around 70 Class 2 Drivers across 40 routes and 40 Class 1 Primary Drivers. Maintain compliance with transport operator and driver regulations (and Warburtons Distribution Manual) to ensure continued legal transport operation. Manage a team of Secondary Distribution Drivers to ensure agreed performance levels are achieved while maintaining high standards of customer service.
