About the Role:
As Admin Manager for Education, Skills & Work, you’ll play a vital role in setting up and managing efficient administrative operations to support educational and vocational programmes within HMP Millsike. This role involves leading a team, managing data and reporting, coordinating prisoner allocations, and overseeing exam administration, all crucial for creating a rehabilitative and supportive learning environment. You’ll also collaborate across departments to ensure our programmes are robust, efficient, and effective in fostering skill development.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Manage a team of education and industrial administrators, allocating tasks and providing guidance to maintain operational efficiency.
Data & Attendance Tracking: Maintain accurate records in Curious, Nexus, and Digital Prison Service systems, track attendance, and monitor learner progress.
Exam & Payroll Oversight: Coordinate exams, input results, and ensure accurate attendance tracking and payments for participants.
Compliance & Improvement: Implement process improvements for better efficiency and prepare regular reports on programme performance.
Collaboration: Work with Education Managers, vocational trainers, and other prison departments, enhancing service cohesion and communication with external partners.
Requirements:
Essential: Level 3 qualification in Business Administration (or equivalent experience), Level 2 qualifications in English, Maths, and ICT.
Experience: Proven management experience, ideally with a background in resource management and vocational or exam administration.
Skills: Strong organisational, leadership, and data management skills, with a focus on accuracy and process improvement. Who We Are
