We’re now looking for someone to join our Engineering Team to contribute to the company’s profitable growth journey. The main purpose of the Lead Engineer is to be responsible for managing engineering projects from inception to handover and lead a team to continuously improve all aspects of plant equipment and systems at our manufacturing site.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will report directly to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager. Your key responsibilities will be to ensure personal and team safety and promote a ‘Safety First’ culture. To manage project delivery through a team of professional multi-skilled Engineers in line with time, cost, and budgetary constraints.
Other important duties include leading the team to manage small and medium projects. Working closely with Production Unit Managers and alongside the Project Office Team to design and execute 5-year capital investment plans. Support in the development the Project Manual and apply the appropriate systems to align with the size of the project. Lead on continuous improvements in conjunction with production requirements. Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulations, and work as part of a team to identify and implement safety improvements, including safety assessments as appropriate (PUWER, ATEX, LOLER etc.). Engage with and manage contractors.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and have proven planning and project management skills, and significant ATEX experience. We are looking for someone who can lead, motivate and engage not only their team but all stakeholders. Good communication skills with drive and enthusiasm, who is looking to grow and develop within the company.
