Programme Description:
This London-based 6-month internship is an opportunity to intern with the Five Arrows Direct Lending business. The team is currently investing its fourth-generation direct lending fund, Five Arrows Debt Partners IV, into mid-market companies primarily in the following sectors: “Healthcare & Specialist Education”, “Software & IT Services” and “Business & Financial Services”.
The Five Arrows Direct Lending team comprises 17 investment professionals operating from three offices: London, Paris, and New York. Five Arrows is the alternative assets arm of Rothschild & Co and manages €26 billion in assets across a range of private equity and private debt strategies.
Responsibilities:
1. Industry and Company due diligence: Conduct in-depth research on industries where potential investment targets operate and in-depth analysis of targets’ historical performance, current and future prospects.
2. Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain customised financial models.
3. Investment Process Coordination: Support the team in coordinating due diligence and transaction processes, both internally and with external advisers.
4. Investment Evaluation: Formulate and articulate perspectives on the credit quality of potential investments and what defines an exceptional business from a lending perspective.
5. Committee Memos: Prepare detailed memos for the investment committee.
6. Deal Execution: Assist in executing deal workflows and monitor existing portfolio companies.
7. Relationship Building: Enhance relationship skills through exposure to senior bankers and investment committee members.
