The Engineering function at BDUK operates within a matrix organization, with specialized departments contributing technical expertise to our programs. This position will be part of the Product Support Engineering Department, encompassing critical areas such as Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis, Reliability and Maintainability, Logistic Support Analysis, Engineering Data Exploitation, Obsolescence Management, Technical Publications and Integrated Logistic Support Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Apply RCM methodologies and techniques, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, to facilitate and implement reliability improvements.
2. Conduct RCM analysis within defined scope, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
3. Review and process change requests stemming from maintenance feedback, failure investigations, and reliability studies.
4. Ensure proposed changes meet agreed standards and customer requirements.
5. Provide management reporting on progress through KPIs and close-out reports.
6. Implement and update defined RCM tasks in relevant tools to enhance reliability foundations.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
7. Must be eligible to obtain UK SC security clearance.
8. Engineering background with strong maintenance/engineering experience.
9. Knowledge and application experience of RCM-2 or FMEA principles, practices, and applications, and/or MSG-3 methodology.
10. Defence background preferred but not essential.
11. Proficiency in risk and reliability management systems and techniques.
12. Demonstrated ability to drive first-time quality improvements.
13. Understanding of Risk & Opportunity Management principles.
14. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
15. Ideally educated to degree level in an Engineering or related subject with 2 to 5 years of experience, or equivalent formal training in Support Engineering principles.
