Job Title: Fire and Security Engineer
Salary: £30k-£35k basic
Company Introduction:
My client is a leading UK owned security and fire systems specialist based in South Yorkshire. They provide a broad range of stand-alone or integrated technology solutions for security, safety, asset protection, building management, and associated applications.
Location: Ideally located between South/West Yorkshire
Duties Include:
1. Ability to undertake small works and respond to reactive call-outs within contractual response times.
2. Fault finding and first fix resolution.
3. Undertake preventative maintenance activity.
4. Out of hours technical support and call-out where required.
Experience Required:
Security Applications:
At least 5 years relevant experience with IP and analogue CCTV systems, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems. Suitable experience of IP CCTV networks and recording platforms such as Avigilon, Indigo Vision, Synectics, Axis, and Bosch, as well as broad product knowledge of Access Control from standard industry products such as Paxton and Winpak to more enterprise and single platform solutions such as CEM, Kantech, and C-Cure. Knowledge of basic industry standards for Intruder Alarms.
Fire Systems:
Working on fire systems that are part of integrated solutions. Ideally, have at least 5 years’ experience working with analogue and addressable network systems, including graphics. Candidates will be ideally fully Gent trained; however, formal training will be provided for the successful candidate that has proven experience with Notifier/Advanced and Morley systems. Ideally have some commissioning experience and be willing to further enhance these skills.

2. Demonstrate understanding of relevant electrical knowledge and testing.
3. Evidence of enhanced learning through formal and manufacturer training.
Benefits:
1. £30k - £35k basic salary.
2. Paid overtime: weekdays basic, Saturday time & half, Sunday and Bank Holidays at double time.
3. 40 hour basic week (availability between 06:30 & 18:30).
4. Standby allowance, call outs are paid (minimal call outs).
5. First hour travel each day is unpaid.
6. Company estate vehicle or van will be provided, fuel card provided, and private miles are re-charged at 13p per mile.
