Summary of the Position
The Buying Admin main responsibility is to provide clerical back up and administrative support to the Buying Team. This role is key in ensuring correct implementation of the buying and merchandising processes as well as pricing and financial accuracy.
Responsibilities
Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Ensure seamless application of the monthly buying procedure.
2. Create accurate product information and vendor purchase orders to time critical deadlines.
3. Document costs and manage the retail database.
4. Liaise with department secretaries to ensure maintenance of purchase orders.
5. Assist in SKU maintenance when required.
6. Maintain relevant seasonal catalogues and price lists for all suppliers.
7. Assist Buyers in the preparation of vendor meetings.
8. Liaise with Buyer Assistants to develop best practices.
9. Build good working relationships with other departments in order to efficiently complete tasks requiring cross-functional involvement (i.e. Buying, Marketing, Account Administration).
Qualifications
Candidate Profile
1. MBO level required.
2. At least 1-2 years of administrative or secretarial experience required.
3. Interest in sports fashion is highly preferred.
4. Fluency in English, other European languages are strong assets.
5. Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint are must).
6. Ability to work under pressure and with own initiative.
7. Enthusiastic, positive, and goal-oriented team player.
8. Accurate (also with numbers), well organized and service-minded.
