Role Description This is a full-time role for a qualified mortgage adviser at Clayhall Financial Services. Working as part of a team of advisers, the successful candidate will be responsible for converting new leads into mortgage sales, and will also be offered a pipeline of existing clients whose fixed rates are nearing expiry, to advise and manage alongside new prospects. You will be expected to conduct comprehensive factfinding, document checking, affordability assessment, research and recommendation for your bank of clients and to liaise closely with the administration team who deal with post-application case progression & regulatory paperwork, referring back to the adviser as necessary. Protection experience is desirable but not mandatory. You will be incentivised for introducing clients to our protection advisers and to a full suite of services we can advise on or refer to our network of preferred providers (such as GI, private medical cover, conveyancing, wills & trusts). If you’re qualified for both mortgages and protection, you’ll be able to advise or refer your protection cases as you workload allows, but the current emphasis of this role is to manage our increasing mortgage volumes. We support hybrid & remote working, but the ideal candidate will be partially office-based, or able to travel to our office location in Woodford, IG8 at least once per month as well as attending quarterly whole-firm events. You should be keen to work closely as part of a successful hybrid team. Qualifications Proven track record as a mortgage adviser in a high-volume, team environment Accuracy and attention to detail in recording client information and needs Excellent written and verbal communication skills, native level English language Demonstrate good understanding of “perfect packaging” & clear justification of your recommendation in line with Consumer Duty and FCA mortgage advice guidelines Knowledge of lender criteria, affordability calculators, and industry sourcing & criteria systems such as Twenty7Tec, Mortgage Broker Tools, CriteriaBrain CeMap, CF1 and 6, or equivalent required (degree useful, but not essential) Ability to manage own caseload and track/communicate progress through our proprietary CRM system Salary & Benefits £30,000 Commission OTE of £80,000 We offer a supportive, friendly environment where we encourage our staff to learn the business inside out and we give full training on our products and systems.
