Join a global leader in scientific instrumentation as part of their X-ray Team, to contribute towards the development of innovative analytical x-ray technology.
Key Responsibilities
Design a complete and complex framework, system, or product.
Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output, and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
Conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes. Identify, analyse, and resolve system design weaknesses.
Influence future products by contributing to the framework.
Provide multi-layered technical expertise.
Lead new product developments of tool architecture and design
Prepare requirements documents and contribute to design reviews
Transfer knowledge and systems to production: develop and document calibration and alignment processes, prepare tool characterisation test plans, develop test-jigs, train Tech Support and production team
Characterise and integrate new components Background and experience
A number of years experience as a system or application engineer, or Service engineer, in a similar industry.
A good understanding of motion control and high-accuracy motion systems.
Experience with optical systems desired.
Experience with PLC systems desired.
