The Supply Chain Security Officer reports directly to the Supply Chain Security Manager and is the primary Security point of contact in providing fundamental security support, advice and assurance in ensuring full security assurance of classified information processed within the Rolls- Royce supply chain.

What you will be doing:
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:
1. You will carry out security assurance/investigations/audits as required within the supply chain and maintain awareness of current and future changes in government and company guidance or legislation that may impact on the local operating procedures and work instructions.
2. You will act as point of contact and provide assurance for cyber/physical/information/personnel security advice to the supply chain and off-site facilities in support of the Supply Chain Security manager and assist in the delivery of the Supplier security education programme, delivery of security briefs and maintenance of the RRSL Security training programme.
3. You will maintain and coordinate the Submarines Supply Chain Security Database and RRSL Supply Chain Security assurance plan in ensuring that the assurance and compliance plan is current and non-compliances are reported to the Supply Chain Security Manager.
4. You will assist the Supply Chain Security Manager in the engagement of MoD PSyAs for external inspections and supporting supplier FSC applications and assist in the process for the transport of all classified documents, components and products when removing from FSC facilities.
5. You will coordinate and administer the investigation of security breaches and incidents and maintain appropriate records and reports of any breaches within the supply chain, to enable causes and preventative actions to be identified and implemented.
6. You will support the site Security Management Team with security tasking's as required.

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
7. Experienced Security Practitioner with extensive knowledge of MoD Nuclear Security Policy and FSC requirements
8. Experience of government security organisations
9. Experience of physical security arrangements in compliance with the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA) standards and a good knowledge of cyber security
10. Knowledge of security controls associated with the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plant

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality.
