Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 depending on experience and skills What you’ll be doing: Will lead estimating support to Bid, Campaign or Projects teams, including the compilation of final costing and pricing, whilst playing a key role in the team, influencing key stakeholders and contributing to the overall business winning process. Build, influence and maintain relationships with key internal and external Stakeholders Creation and compilation of typically highly complex costing and pricing for bids. Review all inputs and ensure these are in line with the scope of work and value for money. Support the final pricing of bids and project change, including the generation and analysis of uncertainty, risk and opportunity Ensure a suitable, properly documented, Basis of Estimate is provided for all estimates, including dependencies, assumptions, risk, exclusions and opportunities. Ensure delivery of estimates is in accordance with the requirements of the end-to-end process and Maritime Services estimating policy and process Support the drafting of the content of Commercial and Technical volumes for bids and change. Playing a key role in Customer price investigations and negotiations Deputise for Estimating Managers as required Lead and provide guidance and estimating expertise at Bid, Project and Commercial reviews and meetings Ensuring that Estimating Processes are understood and implemented throughout the wider organisation, leading to the creation of accurate and reliable estimating data Your skills and experiences: Essential: Experience in an Estimating, Cost Engineering or Pricing discipline Strong communication and presentational skills Experience in managing your own workload and portfolio Knowledge and understanding of bid management Demonstrable skills in the use of Microsoft packages are essential Strong commercial and business acumen Desirable Degree educated in a relevant subject Knowledge / practical use of the Pro Pricer toolset, industry tool Cost Engineering or similar accreditation Technical / Operational skillset Benefits: You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
