Behaviour Support Officer
Bridgend CF32
£12.90 per hour (£83.85 per day)
January start
Full time
We are collaborating with a school in Bridgend to find dedicated Behaviour Support professionals to assist pupils during lessons and everyday activities. Prior experience in managing behaviour is essential, as the role requires someone who can quickly adapt and feel confident in the school environment.
The pupils you’ll work with range from ages 7 to 19, but you’ll typically stay with the same group throughout lessons and break times, ensuring consistency and rapport.
You may be invited to complete trial days, which is an opportunity for both you and the school to assess suitability. This is especially important for one-to-one support, where a strong working relationship is crucial.
In the classroom, your primary responsibility will be to support the pupil, ensuring they stay focused and complete their work. Outside the classroom, your role will involve helping pupils navigate potentially overwhelming times, such as during lunch and breaks, to ensure they feel supported and secure.
