About the Role
We offer a competitive salary range of £27,000 - £33,000 per annum, tailored to your experience and skill set.
As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you'll be responsible for developing and executing SEO optimisation strategies to improve our online presence and drive e-commerce success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical SEO:
o Conduct comprehensive website audits to identify technical SEO issues and ensure proper implementation of structured data.
o Optimise website architecture, including the use of robots.txt, meta tags, and canonicalization to prevent duplicate content and improve crawl efficiency.
o Ensure website security (e.g., HTTPS) and address potential issues that can affect SEO.
* On-Page SEO:
o Perform comprehensive keyword research to identify high-value search terms and opportunities.
o Optimise meta descriptions, title, headings (H1-H3), and image alt texts.
o Ensure content is well-structured and adheres to SEO best practices.
* Off-page SEO:
o Develop and execute link-building strategies to improve domain authority.
o Engage in digital PR efforts, guest posting, and influencer outreach to secure backlinks.
o Monitor competitor link profiles and develop strategies to outperform.
o Manage and optimise local SEO for Google Business Profile listings (GMB), reviews, and citations.
* Brilliant Copywriting Across Platforms:
o Develop engaging, SEO-optimised content for various formats, including email campaigns, blog posts, social media captions, articles, and ad copy.
o Craft compelling headlines and persuasive copy that align with SEO goals and brand messaging.
o Write clear, concise, and conversion-optimised product descriptions and web pages with a strong focus on SEO integration.
* Performance Monitoring & Optimisation:
o Track and analyse key SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush.
o Provide regular SEO performance reports, detailing progress, insights, and actionable recommendations.
o Use A/B testing and data-driven analysis to optimise content and on-page elements.
o Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure the website remains competitive and compliant with search engine guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A portfolio demonstrating commercial impact or growth in the last 1 year.
* A marketing and commercial mindset.
* Proven experience in SEO optimisation for e-commerce websites.
* Exceptional copywriting skills with a strong portfolio demonstrating ability to create engaging and persuasive content.
* Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics).
* A strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify).
* The ability to collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
* The ability to work across multiple brands.
