Practice Type: They are a group of small animal primary care practices based in leafy northwest London, that has been established within the local area for over 40 years. When clients bring their animals into their practices, they aim to make sure their services are up to the highest standard to make it as pleasant as possible for their pets. They pride themselves on their experience, expertise, and the continuous care that they provide for all patients.
Services: The practices are 100% small animals with team support provided at multi-vet sites, though some sole charge is required. You will have the opportunity to work alongside their highly experienced nurse team! They are a high-end first opinion group with a large proportion of insured clients. Their practices have digital X-rays, dental X-rays, and ultrasound machines with colour flow Doppler.
Role: This is a new position for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. Full-time and part-time applicants are considered.
Hours:
* Full-time rota is a 40-hour (4-day) week
* 1 in 3 Saturdays and 1 in 6 weekends.
* There is no on-call. However, there is an inpatient rota, where the vet provides backup to the nurse on evening checks.
* Any patient that requires constant monitoring is transported to their OOH provider.
* Time off in-lieu is available following working the weekend or open for discussion as part of a salary package.
* Start times are 9 am to 7 pm on weekdays. 9 am to 4 pm on Saturdays and 10 am to 4 pm on Sundays.
* The role consists of a mix of both consulting and surgery.
* Part-time applicants will be requested to contribute towards the weekend rota.
Skills/Experience: You will be responsible for delivering high-standard clinical care while building lasting relationships with clients and colleagues. The ideal candidate would be at least 3 years qualified and confident with 15-minute appointments, performing routine consultations and procedures. A willingness to learn is important as active development is encouraged and supported.
Salary: They are offering a competitive salary of up to £80,000 p/a (DOE).
