Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, having supported students with Autism and/or complex needs? This could be the perfect role for you!
We are currently recruiting for a SEN Primary School in Reigate, Surrey who are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support KS1/KS2 students with Autism and complex needs. You will be working 1:1 and in small groups with students.
This is a long term role to start as soon as possible and will be with a view to going permanent. The hours will be from 9am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting students with Special Needs in the classroom and in the playground
Work closely with the class Teacher to ensure all students understand the lesson objectives
Running activities with the students
Personal care where required
Creating an inclusive and fun learning environment for all students to reach the best of their abilities
Dealing with any challenging behaviours
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A positive, can-do attitude
Experience in working with vulnerable people or this with Special Needs (SEN)
Passion for working with those with Special Needs (SEN)
Willing to learn and adapt methods where necessary
Complete an enhanced DBS check
