The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Seed Manager East, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Working with the Head of Seed and Seed Manager East to develop a business plan.
2. Working with the Grass and Environmental Product Managers to build and develop the portfolio of products to be promoted and sold in the Eastern Region.
3. Forecasting, planning production and managing Forage Seed stock on-site.
4. Acting as the main Eastern contact for specialist advice for farmers and the Sales team.
5. Providing technical support for Wynnstay Sales Specialists on grass, environmental and conservation seed.
6. Collaborating with and upskilling the Eastern Sales team, assisting with retail business and dual calling where required.
7. Relaunching the existing Yorkshire Green brand across the Eastern Region.
8. Producing key marketing materials including the Yorkshire Green Catalogue.
9. Working with Seed Managers and the Marketing department to boost brand recognition.
10. Keeping up to date with changes in environmental policy and communicating with other departments.
The Person:
The successful candidate will:
1. Have experience in combinable crop seed/forage.
2. Be BASIS and FACTS qualified (preferable).
3. Possess sales skills and experience.
4. Be able to build good business relationships with professional farmers.
5. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Be self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
7. Be able to demonstrate strong accuracy levels and proficiency in using IT systems.
8. Have a flexible approach to working hours.
9. Possess a full clean UK driving license.
